What’s this all about?

What’s Women’s Health? is a hub to support you to learn more about women’s health topics.

We know that not everyone who experiences these topics identifies as a woman or girl, and here we use the terms ‘woman’ and ‘women’s health’ for clarity, but with the understanding that regardless of gender identity, anyone assigned female at birth is affected by these topics too. This hub is for everyone – whether you expect to experience these conditions yourself, or want to know more about half the people in your life!

This hub has been created by NHS Wales teams, working together with school nurses, and is shaped by the input of young people from across Wales. You shared that you didn’t know as much about women’s health as you needed to.

You wanted a central place to access information about women’s health, created with young people in mind. You wanted your questions answered in bite-sized, friendly and bright materials that feel clear and relevant for you… And for it all to be backed with an NHS stamp of approval.

And so, this hub was born! Here to direct you to resources you can trust.

Women’s health needs can change a lot throughout a woman’s life. And that can feel intimidating with so much information out there. But, it’s so important to know about – whether that’s knowing about your own body, or understanding the experiences of half the people in your life!
